I have vertigo...
I don't like it...
A few days ago I was vacuuming under my cedar chest, and *bloop*, my insides flipped over. I haven't been able to "right" myself since. I actually fell to the ground, thinking, "What the @#$% just happened?" Weird!
It's a blessing in disguise though. I was in need of some downtime, and downtime I will have whether I like it or not, because any sudden movement makes me feel like I just got off of the Tilt-A-Whirl.
Do you like amusement park rides? I do. I can handle the ups and downs of a roller coaster, or rocking side to side, but I'm not so good with the round and round in circles. I'm sure there is a metaphor in there somewhere, but the thought of it is making me dizzy. :)
For the past few weeks, I have been making lists, and working on projects...in an attempt to stop my own life from spinning in circles. Blah!
Maybe it's because it's February, but I'm in need of a change.
Things might start to look a little different around here over time. I might be different here. I don't mean to be so vague, everything is still up in the air, but I wanted give you a heads-up.
These photos are from our family vacation last summer. We stayed in a house, at Peak N Peak Ski Resort, in New York. It was kind of surreal walking around the slopes in the summertime.
I haven't picked up my camera in about a week, so I went searching my archives for something to express the theme for the day. Surreal is good.
Have you ever had vertigo that lasted longer than a few minutes, or a day? If so, please share. I'd love to commiserate with you.

oh yeah! I have - but eventually it went away. But, not to alarm you, my ex-husband had it for 6 months... we had a waterbed at the time, so he had to sleep on a mattress on the floor next to our waterbed. It was awful... he had to work, but he didn't feel well for quite some time.
I get vertigo to this day. It comes and goes. Sometimes i feel like i am on a boat yet i am standing still, or its from my tumor. ;) it could just be your equaliberium is off, or the shifting of the cystals in your ears ( sounds weird, but we have them and as we age they like loosen or something like that and that can cause vertigo...google it.) it could also have to do with blood pressure or blood sugar. Anything can make us dizzy...just thinking makes me dizzy...haha! If ya ever need anything just come on over! Everyone here has been sick though...all three boys had a stomach thing that lasted like a day yet i got blessed with sinus crap that wont leave!!
If i make any spelling errors i apologize in advance...i tend to type funny on my ipad...plus im just a bad speller...think its the dementia.
Start working on gathering some pictures and making some jewelry for the barn sale...you know she would so buy it from you to resell. Get your mind off things and start crafting...you have great talent with your pictures and i know you can make some sweet necklace charms...bird butts of course. Im telling ya...an animal butt calendar or picture collage would be sweeeeet!! ;)
Oh...how awful!! I've had very occasional vertigo - and that was enough to make me never want it again!! Will look forward to seeing the changes here. FUN!!!
~oh no...no vertigo here...i do hope it passes...kind of funny you speak of this though cause i learned earlier this week that we have tiny crystals in our ears and when we spin one way we need to stop and allow them to settle before spinning in the opposite direction or spinning to long...if they don't settle you become dizzy...maybe your crystals are having a little party in there!!! i know...its not funny and i am sure it is causing much grief...i do hope things have settled...
as fo rme...no up and downs...uuugghhh...makes my stomach do to deep of a dive...i much prefer spinning instead!!!
changes...can't wait to see what you are up too...wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead...much love light and blessings~
I feel for you! I haven't had Vertigo but I've known 3 people in the last little while that have! And sadly, it lasted a long time...as in weeks. :( But eventually it went away. It definitely has to be a blessing in disguise though. :)
