Virtual Coffee

Hooray! It's Tuesday! Time to meet up with Amy for some Virtual Coffee. I had such a great time last week. I think I'm really starting to look forward to Tuesdays!

So, if we were really meeting for coffee today...I would have to be honest, and tell you that I'm pretty sure I've never really met anyone for coffee before. I love to have coffee in the morning...need it, actually, but I don't like to talk to anyone or think about much of anything while I'm having it...can't, actually. Well, I can, but it's not pretty. I would much rather meet you later for lunch, when my brain is functioning, and my mouth can speak coherent sentences.

What I can do with my morning coffee though, is take it out into the backyard, and photograph it, and laugh about what a weirdo my neighbors must think I am. Haha! It's the little things...

I'm feeling a lot like these two apples today...one rotten, one ripe...side by side in total contrast of each other. As soon as I saw them, I said, "Hey, that's me."

Yesterday would have been my 13 year anniversary, if I had stayed married, and even though I'm in a pretty good place about it all now, it still kind of makes me sad. I guess it's the ideal.

My parents got divorced when I was 12, so I always had it in my head that that was never going to happen to me. I wanted a 'normal' family, but what's normal these days anyway, right?

So, on one side, I'm sad about what isn't, and wishing that it was, but on the other side I'm grateful that it isn't, because life has become so much more. Rotten and ripe...that's me today.

And that's about it. Not too much else going on here today...ahh...so nice to say. It's just going to be me, the dog, and the rabbit hanging out at home, playing some loud music, and getting some cleaning done.

Do you have big plans for the day? I'm so glad we got together. Those flowers are from Macy's garden...take them home...I want you to have them.

hi kelly... thanks for visiting my place for coffee... and thank you for the beautiful flowers. nothing like fresh beauty to brighten a day! i feel your pain about the divorce. i remember getting past year #11 and thinking that we had made it past where my parents had. it was a good feeling, and scary. but i suppose that is life, just like those rotten & ripe apples. here's hoping your neighbor doesn't go spreading it around that you took picturs of coffee in the backyard :)

Those flowers are gorgeous :)
I love the metaphor with the rotten & ripe apples. So so true.
Hugs to you, on this coffee date, my friend!

I'm not a morning person until I've had at least 3 cups of coffee, so I'm okay if we just sit quietly sipping our coffees and enjoying the sunshine :)

Thanks for stopping by. . .what a great analogy with the apples! I think we all have those moments in life!

I think its great that you give your neighbors something to talk about. . .they talk about you anyway right:)

What a great cup of coffee. It sounds like you needed to do a little venting, as you should! I can understand that an anniversary with an ex is probably kindof a weird day. Hang in there! Love the apple shots too :D See you next Tuesday... or in my case, Wednesday!!!

Oh, coffee on (what looks like) a crisp almost-Fall morning with an apple tree nearby! Sounds like a great way to have coffee if you ask me! : ) Sorry you are feeling s bit off, I feel like I just got over a little period like that myself.
Oh, the flowers, I love zinnias, one of my very favorites and I would so be stealing those from my neighbor's garden! Thanks for joining in for coffee this week, it's a lot of fun chatting with everyone like this!
