'F' is for Fair

...and Funnel Cakes, and French Fries with vinegar, and Fun!

We forced ourselves out of the house yesterday, and took a trip to the Great Geauga County Fair. It was a beautiful day!

The perfect kind of day to walk around, eat some sinful fair food, play some games, and absorb all of the swirling colors.

Blue skies, lemonade, and powdered sugar...that's the stuff dreams are made of.

'F' is for Foto, too

It's not, I know, but I'm taking a liberty here. I just wanted to share something with you, and I felt the need to be quippy.

I have a decent camera. It's not a great camera, but it's good enough for me..for now. It's relatively new, and I have yet to figure out all of the bells and whistles, or any of them. I just play around with it, and mostly I use it to tell a story, rather than take good photographs.

I rarely edit any of my photos either. Mostly because my monitor is broken, and I can't really tell if what I'm doing looks 'normal' on a normal monitor, but sometimes I play around anyway.

I don't have any fancy editing software either. I just use the Windows photo editing stuff, and that works for me...for now.

This photo below, obviously, has lots of sun glare, so I pushed it with the brightness and the contrast. It really doesn't look good before or after, but the difference between the two is exciting to me.

I'm excited and inspired to do more, to try more things, maybe even read my camera's manual.

I just wanted to share, that's all...for now.

I love your photos :)
Check out flickr.com and picnik.com (both free - Flickr you can use for hosting/sharing, and it uses picnik for editing, though you can use picnik on it's own)
