One Year

Well, that's that. I have been occupying this little space of mine for one year today. I'm not sure I should boast though...the first three months I really only gave it a half-hearted attempt, but the date of my first post was January 27th, so that's what I'm going with.
I guess I shouldn't measure the amount of time I've been here, rather I should measure the amount of change that has occurred in me since I have been here. It has been enormous.
A year ago yesterday, I wasn't confident that I could write anything that would matter to anyone, let alone share it. Now I write with ease about what's in my head or in my heart, then I hit 'publish post' and know that everything's going to be okay.
I've met people all over the country that I actually consider friends, like this person, this person, this person, and I'm pretty sure this person. There are more, and I know there will be more, those are just the one's that have really touched my heart...and just that alone makes all of this worth it for me.
This past year I reawakened my love for taking pictures, creating art, and looking past the mundane parts of my life. Recently, because of this venue, I've had the opportunity to look inside my soul and remember who I really am.
It's funny...I started this blog because of my business idea, which is still very much a flame burning inside of me, but instead of this blog focusing on my business, the focus actually became the business of 'me'...and I have grown oh-so-much.
These are my baby steps, and like any other one-year-old, I know I will be walking even more confidently soon; then running...and I can't wait to feel that freedom!

Congrats on one year! I don't know any of your friends but funny, I read a blog of a totally different Chrissy Gardner. I'll have to check out those links. Good job opening up, getting out there and enjoying your blog!
