Quoting and Sailing

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain

Invictus
by William Ernest Henley; 1849-1903

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.

Kelly! I am soooo glad that you are back in your space here! We all need a break every so often but...boy! I missed you!!!! I love this pic BTW-with your newspaper sail-it carries conviction and possibilty in it's humble SELF. Humility has great power (think Ghandi, Dr. King, Mother Theresa...oh yeah!)
And-its' been a year? I only "met" you recently but...blogging does facilitate the most amazing growth. And thanks for including me in your friend list. I just know if you lived next door we would be the most amazing partners in crime!!! I think blogging lets us get to the heart and soul of others....when we expose our true self.
I believe in signs too BTW-oh! did I tell you I really want to take that class you are taking? Can't wait to hear about your biz idea too. Oh...this weekend-unpacking, unpacking!! Will it ever end! My studio is in shambles I tell you! Can't put anything together because the rugs are in this last POD arriving tomorrow!!! Smart thinking ahead there:) hugs xxx

I have Invictus as the first page in my old book of inspiring quotes.
I don't pay attention to it as often as I should
