Casualty of the Day

There have been MANY breakings and dumpings today. This one just seemed to be the most...ironic?...poetic?...something like that. When will this end? What will I do with all of my worries now? I'm ready to pack everything in boxes and just live with the bare necessities.

On a lighter note, I like how the screen in the background of this picture looks like a painted canvas. Cool, huh?

Yesterday's Post...Today

My heart is in Maryland today. I was suppose to drive down there with my best bud, Dagen, to help her pack, move, and (I think) provide some moral support. Needless to say, I wasn't able to go, and I'm more than just a little bit sad and disappointed. She is going through a difficult time in her life right now, and I was really looking forward to spending time with her and being a friend. But, alas, I'm still here and she is there, and so that is where my heart is today.

Love Thy Neighbor

I do. I love my neighbor! I knew the first time we met we were kindred spirits, and now I'm happy to call her my friend. Through her, I see part of who I am, and part of who I'd like to be. She is a great mom, with a free and fun lovin' spirit, not to mention a heart of gold. Last week, Demolition Man a.k.a. Griffin, broke my big, blue Ball jar filled with marbles...sigh. It wasn't worth much, just one of my garage sale finds, and I know that things are just things, but it was one of those "special things". Yesterday, my neighbor handed me a jar just like the one that had been broken. Hmm, giving just for the sake of giving... How's that for being awesome? Yep. I think I'll keep her. Only problem is, this new jar is now 100x more special than the one before!!
